Hello, my name is Katlyn French, I am 20 years old, and I love the great outdoors! When I was a little girl I never thought I would get into hunting or fishing as much as my dad. Little did I know….I’d soon become just as addicted and enthused with the outdoors as my ole pops! My dad has been the biggest influence and greatest role model a girl could ask for when it comes to knocking my trophy’s down.

My favorite memory would have to be my first bear I ever got to take down, I used my 7mm08 Ruger Hawk Eye. My dad watched every step of the way and it was one of the most thrilling things I had ever gotten to do. Since then I have killed several more and the feeling is still the same as the first!

 

 

 

I have many goals/dream I hope to accomplish & pursue in my hunting/fishing future, I want to travel around the world to kill my next trophy’s, because it has always been a dream of mine to kill something bigger than a bear.

 

 

 

My dad raised my to fish at Winfield Locks and Dam and it was there that I have shared many memories with him and my siblings. There is no explanation to how fishing makes me feel. Upset? Go fishing! Mad? Go fishing! Not having a good day? Go fishing! I could spam everyone with fishing pictures and smile at every single one because just the fact that I got to catch fish makes my day.

All I have to say to any female who hunts and fishes is, NEVER let ANYONE stop you from chasing your dreams and doing what you love! There is truly no greater feeling than killing, working up, & eating your own harvest. Especially with the ones you love. Go get em’  Wyld Girls!!
