“Who are your biggest role models in encouraging your love of the outdoors?”

I’d say my mom and dad are my biggest role models. They are the ones that got me into hunting and fishing. Neither one ever heads to the woods or water without the other and that’s how I was raised too. They started taking me when I was 3 or 4 and I’ve stuck with it ever since.

“What is your dream hunt, or goal in the next 5 years?”

I would love to go on an elk hunt in Colorado. It’s always been a dream to take an elk with my bow because I feel as though that adrenaline would be unbelievable!

“What is one of your first memories of the outdoors?”

First memory is my first deer with my dad. It was getting close to dark and we had some does come out. I put it on the biggest one and asked if I could shoot. As soon as he said yes, boom! I shot and they took off. He said I must have missed but we would go look just in case. We started walking out there and he said he thought he saw her run off and maybe I jumped. I asked what the white was in the food plot, and there she laid.

“What is your best outdoor memory?”

Best outdoor memory is alligator hunting. My husband and I had hooked into a pretty good gator and he had wrapped us up and got us all in a tangle. I called my mom and dad, who were luckily hunting the same body of water, for help. They came and put another hook In him so we could cut our line and get back to him. We did and got 3 hooks in him. The 3 guys were standing on the front of the boat and the Gator came up like a missile under the front deck and like dominoes, they all went in on top of him. Luckily, they also all popped up with poles in hand and the hooks still in him! Needless to say, I now have a 12’6” gator head mounted and sitting on my foyer table!

“What would you say to encourage others to get up, get out & get Wyld?”

Explore!  There’s so much to see and experience in the outdoors. Share it with someone. My husband and I are always going and doing and now we get to share that with our 3 year old. She LOVES it. She has hunted everything we have and she’s only 3. Get kids out there so we can continue our love for the outdoors to future generations. It doesn’t matter if every hunt ends with a kill. It’s a successful hunt if you learn something, see something, share it with someone. You don’t want to miss the opportunities that the outdoors hold. And anything else you’d like others to know about you & your journey! Never stop and never give up. I’ve been hunting turkeys for 7 years and have yet to get one! That’s hard stuff to deal with. But I also know, it’s not from lack of trying. Those birds are tough lol. Always get back out there. Share your stories and try and get more and more people interested. The more the better and I’m almost sure they’ll fall in love with it all too.
