Hi my name is Haylie Thiltgen. Some of the things I love to do outdoors is go hunting with my parents, practice skeet shooting with my FFA skeet team, and working with my show animals. I show many kinds of pigs, but my favorites to show are Durocs, Spots, and Crosses. I used to show market goats and some Laancha does.
My future goals are to attend Conner State College and get my Ranch Management degree then transfer to Oklahoma State University to get my Agriculture Communication degree to become an Agriculture teacher. Next year I will be working to get my state FFA degree at the 2021 Oklahoma State Convention.

My greatest influence in being involved in the outdoors is my mom. My mom has always encouraged me to help with her mock scrapes and brought me into the Pure Whitetail Field Staff as well as continual encouragement shooting skeet with my FFA chapter, Broken Bow. She is my biggest support in the show ring, and is there helping me study for my dairy quality tests for contests.

I would encourage other women and girls to find another person with the same love and passion for the outdoors as you. That way you can develop and grow that passion more deeply as well as building a friendship and memories that last.

My greatest memory is when my dad and uncle took me out hunting for the first time. I was fourteen years old, and ended up killed my first deer. What made it even more memorable is that it happened to be a buck! I harvested that deer with my dad’s brand new 30.30!
